Saxophonist Jonathan Radford and pianist Ashley Fripp demonstrate the versatility and breadth of musical possibilities available to this original combination through their refreshing, yet insightful transcriptions of two celebrated works - Cesar Franck’s Violin sonata in A major for alto saxophone and piano and Claude Debussy’s Prélude à l’Apres-midi d’un Faune for soprano saxophone and piano. The duo is also delighted to perform an original composition by the British composer Cheryl Frances-Hoad – Algernon for alto saxophone and piano – co-commissioned with the Royal Over-Seas League in 2019.
